xx THE OFFICIAL BOMBER TECH LIST
August 15, 2010, 07:57:36 PM by draggbody
well after everyone watched the bombers at the rock rally, everyone seems to want one for RBD... there have been alot of questions and things that need to be changed to keep this a level playing field... i have talked w/ quite a few people about what could make it better and what we should keep the same, so here goes for a rough draft... feel free to add comments because this should be fun and cheap and thats what we are looking for, some entry level antics for events such as RBD...

first off safety, no corners cut, at least a 6 point cage w/ 5x5" 1/8" plates welded to the floor, i would like to see a diagonal bar in the B pillar, but its not required... 4 point harnesses, window nets and a steel grab handle for the passenger, some people have asked about those velcro handles and that wont fly... fire extiguishers are a must and there cant be any glass in the vehicle...

next is drivetrain... we are limiting these rigs to 2WD... the 4wd just has to much advantage, and besides the 2wd rigs make for much better racing... also you must use a "street" tire... cut em, groove em, take a dang chainsaw to them if you want, just make sure it is not an AT or MT... the idea behind this is not to punish you, just make it a level playing field, afterall this is to be fun and cheap, so no one is buying expensive tires and you can get all you want from the junk yard... so if you have got a 4WD rig, just take out the front driveshaft and its all good...

interior and exterior... interior must be gutted, EVERYTHING but seats and a dash, as well as required safety equipment... exterior must be a complete looking body, trimmed fenders are ok, but they must be there... bumpers can be removed, however not recommended... we actually had a 3 car pileup in the first lap of the first race... you can build a bumper, but it cant have anything that could inflict damage to another rig... no trailer hitches w/ anything in them, the XJ had a ball mount in it and there was constant worry about puncturing a radiator... and of course, it must have a NASCAR inspired paint theme...

Chris, Randy and Staff,

I've searched for what park membership dues are and what is included but most info appears older. Maybe I missed some so can I be enlightened please.  We would like to know the low down so we can support the park further.  Thanks!

Some notes on usage

All the functions have an output method parameter. This can either be "echo" (the default) or "array".
If it is "echo", the function will act normally - otherwise, it will return an array containing information about the requested task.
For example, it might return a list of topics for ssi_recentTopics.

This functionality can be used to allow you to present the information in any way you wish.
